forthcoming generation of Hadron Collider
Abstract
I shall review the main ambitions
of the Tevatron and LHC physics programmes, discussing both the
potential to further improve
the knowledge of the SM parameters, and the potential to uncover new phenomena.
Among other things, I shall review how the theoretical speculations on
physics behind the Standard Model depend on what the value of the Higgs
mass will turn out to be, and how the LHC will help providing new objectives
for physics at the High Energy frontier.
